REALTORŪ Board meetings |
|
I've recently attended the first board meetings of the year 2007! I currently sit on both the state REALTORŪ board of directors (RANM), as well as the local Las Cruces Association of REALTORSŪ. I'm honored to serve my industry alongside a most worthy group of professionals on both Boards. Our RANM board meeting was held in conjunction with a Legislative Conference in Santa Fe a couple of weeks ago. The drive up was gorgeous - snow-covered ground and mountains immediately north of Albuquerque greeted me as I watched the car thermometer for outside temperature drop from 60-degrees in Cruces to 40 in Albuquerque, and rapidly dive to a whopping 20 degrees when I arrived in Santa Fe! The hotel fireplaces were working their magic - it was a terrific stay! Back to business: current legislative projects being monitored carefully by our industry include tranfer tax, eminent domain, and water issues. On the local scene, education (as you all know, certainly one of my passions in the industry) remains at the forefront, as well as continuing to develope a liaison between the city, county, and real estate industry leaders for the betterment of our community! |
